Municipal Water Network Telemetry Upgrade
Wide-area SCADA telemetry across 38 pump stations and reservoirs, replacing manual reading rounds with live network visibility.
report_problem The Challenge
Reservoir levels and pump status were captured on manual rounds, so the control room learned about a failed pump hours after the fact. Peak-demand pumping carried no coordination, driving avoidable electricity cost.
build Our Engineered Solution
Cellular and licensed-radio RTUs were installed at every site and brought back to a redundant SCADA head-end, with automated pump sequencing and peak-demand load shedding logic.
trending_up The Outcome
Fault response moved from hours to minutes, and coordinated off-peak pumping reduced the network electricity bill materially within the first full billing year.
- • Reservoir levels read manually on daily rounds
- • Pump failures discovered hours after the event
- • No coordination of pumping against peak tariff windows
- • Redundant SCADA head-end with 38-site RTU telemetry
- • Automated pump station sequencing and duty rotation
- • Peak-demand shedding aligned to municipal tariff periods
